A Trip To Jamaica!
My friend and I went to Jamaica last year during our spring break from college. We had found cheap travel tickets and deals on the trip and made a haphazard plan to visit this island both of us had never visited before. Although I have traveled to different countries, Jamaica turned out to be one of the most beautiful and peaceful islands I had ever imagined.
In the two weeks we spent in Jamaica, we visited all the prime spots of the island. The warm and tropical island of Jamaica was full of stunning beaches, welcoming people, soulful music, and delicious foods. We stayed in a fully staffed villa, which is a unique type of accommodation not offered in other Caribbean Islands. Our trip made us both feel very relaxed and much pampered - something we both were looking for after our stressful college semesters. The staff of the villas was friendly, and it became quite hard in the end when we had to part from them.
Jamaica is one of the most visited islands in the Caribbean for its astounding beauty, comforting resorts, and variety in activities offered. Our favorite site on the island was Dunn’s River Falls. My first glimpse of the piece of heaven literally took my breath away! The sparkling waters on the most beautiful rocks marveled all tourists and onlookers.
In addition, Jamaica also had stunning beaches which are said to be the best beaches in the world. Montego Bay, Cornwall Beach, Runaway Bay, Discovery Bay, Turtle Beach and Mahogany beach topped the list on our lists. These beaches offered us everything we could think of – from theme park-style to private seclusion. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the perfect golf courses, as he is an avid golfer. We both also relished ‘Glistening Waters’ in Falmouth. It is a glowing lagoon that left us both amazed and awed. We learnt that the eerie glow came from small micro-organisms that emitted a flash of light when disturbed!
Apart from the wonderful sites and things to do in Jamaica, even just lying on the sand during the day healed our tired souls. In two weeks, we were fresh and ready to go back to college, but Jamaica gave us memories that we will cherish for a lifetime!
