Beaches in Jamaica are some of the best in the world.

Many islanders consider the beaches in Jamaica to be some of the best on earth. And I tend to agree.

A few of the most popular beaches in Jamaica are Turtle Beach and Mallard Beach in Ocho Rios and Seven Mile Beach in Negril.

Here are some you can check out to find your own slice of heaven.

Montego Bay

AquaSol Theme Park - Located along the “Hip Strip” of Montego Bay. It's an excellent family beach with a water sports kiosk, glass bottom boats, beauty salon, a bar and grill-style restaurant, gym/health club, disco/bar, and macaws. $5/adults, $3/children under 12.

Cornwall Beach - is another beach located along the “Hip Strip” in Montego Bay. It has a variety of concession stands, water sports and musical entertainment for the entire family. This beach has gorgeous blue water and a nice calm, gradual entrance to the sea (great for families). Cornwall Beach does lack in seclusion but you'll find it's further from the crowds than some of the other beaches in Jamaica. It's a great option for vacationers who would like to make the most of their time at the beach but hope to stay away from the most populated spots. The cost of admission at Cornwall Beach is $2.50 USD for adults, $1.50 USD for children. It's close to town which is convenient for shopping after a day at the beach. This beach is currently closed for refurbishing though.

Doctor's Cave Beach Club - In 1906 Dr. Alexander James McCatty donated his beach property to what is now the Doctors Cave Bathing Club. It is nestled between the Marine Park and the "Hip Strip" in Montego Bay.

Today the Doctors Cave Beach Club is known for its translucent water, which is known to have mineral content, and the nearly white sand beach.

Rose Hall Beach Club - on main road - Not Public - The club offers secluded white sand beach, clear water, a restaurant, bar, covered pavilion, dance area, showers, restrooms, hammocks, changing rooms, beach volleyball, beach games, and watersport program. $6/adults $3/children (open 9am - 5pm).
